I create as I speak because my word is bond. I believe in the power of the tongue, followed by the actions that bring it to life. This digital space has taken so many people’s voices and discouraged their actions.
My purpose each and every day is to remind creatives of their power and how to use it. It starts with belief, followed by investing in yourself, and leading with trust.
These days I sound more insane as I grow into this monster of a philosopher, a title I didn’t give myself. It was given to me by the people. Funny enough, I’ve been given many titles over the years. Most of them good, some very impressive, and of course a few not so great.
But we’re not here at 12:12 a.m. on a Wednesday to talk about titles. Especially when I’m sitting in HQ supposed to be finishing several videos due at 8 a.m. But it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t allow my ADHD to kick in at all the important times, like I even had a choice.
I create as I speak, just as I’m creating as I type. It sounds so simple, doesn’t it? But most people allow their minds to dictate their movement and talk them out of their own greatness. And that’s where I come in.
Your 1:1 Creative Advisor. Some call me their sensei, some call me their Lester, some call me MacGyver, and some call me dad.
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “be careful what you wish for.” I like to say “be careful what you say.” Because that old phrase “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” never sat right with me.
In my opinion, words hurt first. Words stick and can break you. They are the most powerful thing we have, especially when they come before those sticks and stones that follow. Words fuel the actions that break bones or build worlds.
Okay Brandon, what are you saying?
Ah, I’m glad you asked… or maybe you just read this and I heard you in the future.
Side note, the world feels like it’s falling apart because everyone is too afraid to simply stop and reset. Our country has become an embarrassment to humanity, and every day we let imaginary forces, rules, and morals separate us instead of coming together and doing what we need to do as humans.
Anyway, back to it.
Everything you say will happen. Everything you do will show you who you are, especially when your actions follow your words.
If you’re ready to align what you speak with what you create, book a 1:1 Creative Direction Session with me today. Let’s build your vision from the inside out, and create as you speak.
hope this helps,
-B
