How to Finish the Year Strong and Kickstart Your Content for 2025
It’s October 21st, 10:21 pm, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the coincidence—what are the odds? But here we are, with 72 days left in the year, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already thinking ahead to January 1st. The end of the year is approaching fast, and as a creator, it’s time to start planning how to finish the year strong and launch into the next with purpose.
Recently, I’ve been working on a new strategy to jumpstart and maximize my content creation output. It’s all about being intentional with setting new goals and actually achieving them. Now, let me be clear—this strategy isn’t just for creators but anyone who’s juggling multiple things and needs a way to stay consistent while keeping an eye on those future goals.
For me, this all started because one of my many entrepreneurial gigs is creating content for other people—whether that’s for creators, brands, or businesses. While I love it, this often leaves me little time (or energy) to create content for myself or my own businesses. Sound familiar? It’s a common struggle in the creative world. But instead of getting stuck on the “problem,” I like to focus on the solution.
That’s where this strategy comes in. We’ve got 72 days left this year—plenty of time to take action. Here’s what I’ve been doing to stay on track and keep things moving:
1. Manage Your Screen Time
I know, easier said than done, but hear me out. I set specific times to engage with social media—morning, afternoon, and night. And I time myself. If I go over my limit, I owe myself double that time. It’s like a personal productivity tax! The point here is to stop letting social media suck away all your time and energy. Be intentional with it, use it wisely, and get out.
2. Post One Thing a Day
No matter how bad it is, or where it gets posted, just do it. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s consistency. You have to feed the algorithm something. Otherwise, you get lost in the shuffle. Remember, it’s about showing up regularly, even if the post isn’t your best work. Consistency breeds visibility, and over time, that’s going to make a big difference.
3. Get 30 Days Ahead
My big goal is to create 30 days’ worth of content by December 31st, with the first post dropping on January 1st. Imagine starting the new year with 30 days of content already scheduled! It’s like giving yourself a running start into 2025. And trust me, it’s way more doable than it sounds—you’ve got more than enough time to make this happen.
Here’s why this is important: being ahead by 30 days means you’re starting the year with less pressure, more breathing room, and a solid plan. You’ll be posting consistently, and the stress of constantly thinking, “What do I post today?” will be a thing of the past.
Tips I’ve Been Using to Stay Focused:
- Set small daily goals: Whether it’s posting one thing or blocking off 30 minutes to brainstorm, small wins add up.
- Batch create: Take a day, shoot multiple things, and save them up. Content doesn’t have to be made on the day you post it.
- Use scheduling tools: There’s no shame in automation! Tools like Meta’s Creator Studio help keep your feed consistent, even when life gets busy.
- Stay disciplined: When you feel like slacking, remember the long game. It’s not about instant results; it’s about the momentum you’ll have later.
We’ve got 72 days left. That’s more than enough time to set ourselves up for a killer start in the new year. Let’s make these next few months count and hit January with 30 days of content locked, loaded, and ready to go. It’s all about staying focused, creating with intention, and not waiting for a ‘perfect moment’—because the moment is now, do this and trust me you’ll see results.
Hope this helps,
