Flow State

That’s where I’ve been lately. Moving quietly through the noise and chaos of the world, I find myself retreating to the place where I feel most grounded and most protected. When things get loud outside, I run and hide in what feels like safety to me. That place is my creative sanctuary, the space I’ve built and call HQ. It’s where I return to remember who I am.

Over the years, I’ve learned many truths about myself. Some came gently, others through pressure and time. I’ve learned that I carry certain powers within me, abilities that once felt overwhelming or misunderstood. With growth, I’ve learned to accept them, to respect them, and to hold them with intention instead of fear.

One of the strongest of those powers is silence. Silence has taught me how much people reveal when there is room to breathe. It’s taught me patience and awareness. In silence, I’m able to sit with my thoughts without running from them. I can process what I’m feeling, reorganize what feels heavy, and reshape it into something meaningful.

From that space, I’m able to create, even when the weight of everything feels present. Especially then. I hope you’re in a flow state too, or at least curious enough to tap into one when you need it.

There’s one belief I’ll always stand firm on. Creating by any means necessary matters. No matter the medium, no matter the method, expression is essential. We were born to create, to leave traces of ourselves behind in whatever form feels honest. Art, ideas, movement, words, or silence itself all count.

As we cross into this new year, I want you to take a moment for yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and smile at your reflection. Keep smiling until it feels natural, until it turns into laughter. Then introduce yourself to yourself like you’re meeting someone new. You might be surprised by who you find standing there.

And if you ever find yourself in the city of Easton, Pennsylvania, swing by and introduce yourself to me. Conversations have a way of starting something unexpected.

Hope this helps,

-B
