Everything falls apart the moment you stop participating.

Not because the world suddenly collapses, but because you finally see that it was being held together by agreement, not truth.

A dollar is only worth a dollar because we collectively decided it was. Nothing more. Nothing less. Yet that same dollar stretches or thins depending on where you stand, who you are, and how desperate you are. Value, like power, is contextual. It bends toward those who already have it and away from those who need it most.

So how can you not see it. How can you keep participating in this elaborate performance, this world stage of pretending. We wake up every day and act as if time is moving forward, as if things are changing, when in reality we are repeating the same rituals with newer packaging. Same systems. Same exploitation. Same outcomes. Different buzzwords.

We are told this is normal. We are told this is progress.

In a world overflowing with chaos where one percent enjoys the fruits of labor they never touched while the rest work themselves into early graves, how has the human population not collectively decided to stop and simply be human again. Instead we cling to a sheep mentality built on fear, status, and endless what ifs. We divide ourselves along imaginary lines and call it identity while the same hands keep reaching into our pockets.

Humans are being sold at every level. Not just through trafficking, which still somehow exists in plain sight, but through employment, productivity, and survival itself. We trade our time, our bodies, our creativity for a number. Then we take that number and spend it on things we were taught we need to survive or things meant to temporarily fill a void. An object. An experience. A fleeting feeling. Relief for a moment. Then back to work. Repeat until death.

Tell me how that makes sense to anyone with a functioning brain.

We are fooled again and again into believing that when we are upset, the solution is consumption. Buy something. Post something. Make signs. March in circles. Shout into the void. As if any of that has meaning without action that disrupts the system itself. I am losing my mind watching people pretend everything is fine while history repeats itself right in front of us. The outcome is always the same. The powerful win. Everyone else pays.

It does not benefit anyone except the elites, a word that feels too gentle for what they actually are.

Sometimes it feels like the long term plan is to erase humanity altogether so a cleaner, quieter world can be built for those at the top. Call that crazy if you want, but let’s be honest. The resources exist. The technology exists. The indifference exists. We are distracted, divided, poisoned, and pacified while worshiping entertainers who are just better paid prisoners of the same system. They sell their image, their soul, their time in exchange for comfort while quietly paying their debts back to the machine until they burn out.

How does any human idolize another human to the point they lose themselves.

We lost the plot when we started giving already rich people more money just for existing loudly. We lost the plot when corporations get exposed for exploitation and harm, yet we keep supporting them out of convenience while ignoring businesses in our own communities. We lost the plot when we accepted the lie that the United States is the greatest place on earth while trapping its people financially, psychologically, and geographically. Even leaving is priced as a luxury.

I write because this matters. Not just to who I am now, but to the future version of me and to anyone who looks back and wonders how we let things get this far. Will we blame artificial intelligence and claim these words were not ours. Will we discard every uncomfortable truth because ignorance feels safer than accountability.

Do I have to be rude. Do I have to shut the world out. Do I have to be unlikable for people to hear what is being said. Is my stance strong enough. Probably not. But I will continue to stand ten toes down even if I am standing alone.

What we are witnessing right now is overtly performative behavior on a mass scale. It is not just apathy. It is not just denial. It is collective dysfunction. In clinical terms, it mirrors psychosis. And you can argue with your mother about that. My experience and education in the mental health field make that clear to me.

Until humans are willing to be honest with themselves about what is happening and act accordingly, we will keep watching the world rot in real time. But people say YOLO like it is a joke. Like recklessness is freedom. It is not.

Why have we not started planting seeds in public spaces. Why have we not started feeding each other without permission. Why are we waiting for governments that do not follow their own laws to approve our humanity.

Are we really that afraid.

I chose to follow my own path now, consequences included, because fear will not be the thing that stops me from living honestly in an already broken world. And that is what it comes down to. Fear. Fear of losing what you think you earned. Fear of instability. Fear of discomfort.

But what you think you are losing is not real. It is perceived value stacked on top of perceived value. It only exists because you believe it does. Strip that away and what remains is you. Your body. Your mind. Your community. Your ability to create something better.

Wake up.
Stop pretending.
Stop participating in systems that require your silence to survive.

Be human for once. If not for yourself, then for the children coming behind us who will inherit whatever we refuse to fix.

Hope this helps.
